From a sample to your first export
A workflow for applicants tailoring their next resume. You can preview samples before creating an account, and complete a useful document without an AI key.
Try the workflow without AI
Inspect an actual studio export without signing in: download the synthetic Markdown resume or its restorable JSON archive. All employers, credentials, metrics, and achievements are fictional. The archive uses a free Classic layout; Markdown export of your own documents requires Pro.
- Inspect a synthetic software engineer sample, or browse the public gallery. Samples illustrate structure; they are not customer results.
- Create a free account when prompted. The selected profession carries into the studio catalogue. Starter includes 13 core layouts; profession layouts require Pro.
- Replace sample content with accurate experience. Edit sections while checking the document preview. Use the free keyword, bullet, section, and readability tools without AI.
- Open the export menu and choose PDF. Starter allows five PDF downloads per calendar month. Pro adds Word, Markdown, ATS text, and application kits. Inspect the downloaded file before submitting it.
- In Settings, download a Studio Backup (.json). Store it somewhere outside this browser. This is the file used for restore; a PDF is not an editable studio backup.
Back up and restore on a new device
Your licence follows your account; drafts do not automatically sync. Browser storage can be lost when you clear site data, remove a browser profile, or use private browsing. Do not rely on signing in to recover documents.
Download Studio Backup in Settings before changing devices. On the destination, sign in, open Settings, choose Restore Studio Backup, select the JSON file, and confirm. Restore merges documents and may replace documents with matching IDs. Review the confirmation and keep a backup of the destination too. The archive contains resumes, their job data and variants, and the active document ID; it does not back up your AI keys or every app preference.
Browser and connection limits
| Feature | Requirement |
|---|---|
| Hosted studio | A current browser with JavaScript and persistent storage. Desktop editing is recommended for final layout review. |
| JSON download / restore | Browser file download and file picker support. Test a restore before treating a backup as verified. |
| Automatic folder backup | File System Access API and permission; typically desktop Chrome or Edge. Use manual JSON download elsewhere. |
| Server folder mirroring | A separately configured local deployment; not automatic cloud backup in the hosted app. |
| Offline reopening | Not guaranteed. Loading the site and renewing an expired session require connectivity. Downloaded documents can be opened independently. |
Optional AI: separate account, key, and billing
Your studio subscription does not include provider usage. For AI deep matching, evaluation, rewrites, or cover letters, create a provider API account, enable API billing if required, and create a key in that provider’s dashboard. A consumer chat subscription may not include API access.
In the studio’s AI keys screen, choose the provider, paste the key, and select a model available to that account. Set spending limits with the provider and start with synthetic content. Never share your key in screenshots, support messages, or documents. Revoke it in the provider dashboard if exposed. Requests pass through our server to your provider; retention depends on the provider, account, and settings. See the AI privacy notice.
Provider setup: OpenAI API keys, Anthropic console, or Google AI Studio. Consult your selected provider’s current billing and data terms.
